At one capsule that is $0.66 a day, the lowest single-pack figure in this comparison, and four months of supply. Four tubs cost $67.00 each, or $0.56 a day. Postage is a flat $9 on every order.

Its strongest point is testing you can read for yourself. The product page lists three certificates of analysis from NATA-accredited laboratories, dated 28 March 2023, 11 December 2024 and 6 March 2026, the latest from the National Measurement Institute. That is more than we publish on our own product page. The listing also shows a 4.64 average from 136 reviews.

Check which serve you are pricing. The label allows one or two capsules, and at two a day the cost doubles to $1.32.

Who it suits: buyers who want NMN on its own at the lowest price per dose and who value a public testing record.

Who it doesn’t suit: anyone ordering one tub at a time, because the $9 postage lifts the delivered price to $0.73 a day.

#3 Naturecan NMN: three pack sizes

Naturecan sells its NMN in 60, 120 and 180-capsule packs at $54.00, $98.00 and $142.00, with 500mg of NMN per capsule and one capsule a day. That is $0.90, $0.82 and $0.79 a day. The listing states 99%+ purity with a certificate of analysis, third-party testing, and manufacture in Europe in a GMP facility. Shipping starts at $9.99 and is free over $179.

The 60-capsule pack is the cheapest way in this comparison to try NMN for two months. Past that point it costs more per day than our bottle or the Bulk Nutrients tub at every pack size.

Who it suits: first-time buyers who want a two-month trial pack before committing.

#4 Bioglan NMN 500: the pharmacy option on price

Bioglan NMN 500 was $42.49 at Chemist Warehouse on the day we checked, against an RRP of $84.99. Each of the 30 hard capsules holds 500mg of NMN, and the directions say one capsule a day for adults, adding that it is not recommended for more than 12 weeks. At the sale price that is $1.42 a day. At RRP it is $2.83.

Bioglan uses CellVive NMN and describes it as at least 99% pure. The label says it is for adults only and not for pregnant or breastfeeding women. The appeal is convenience: you can add a one-month box to a Chemist Warehouse order you were placing anyway.

Who it suits: people who want to buy NMN at Chemist Warehouse and can catch it on sale.

Who it doesn’t suit: anyone planning to take NMN for longer than a month, because 30 capsules means a new box every 30 days, and the price per dose doubles when the sale ends.

#5 Melrose FutureLab NMN 500mg: NMN with added DMG

Melrose FutureLab NMN 500mg pairs 500mg of CellVive NMN with 250mg of dimethylglycine hydrochloride (DMG) in each capsule, 30 capsules to the box, one capsule a day. It is $74.95 on the brand’s own store and was $52.47 at Chemist Warehouse when we checked, which is $2.50 or $1.75 a day. The brand describes it as Australian made and owned.

The label limits NMN to 500mg a day and use to 12 weeks or less, and says not to take it if you are pregnant, likely to become pregnant or breastfeeding.

Many readers reach this page searching for Melrose Future Lab NMN reviews, so here is what the listings show. Chemist Warehouse shows 4.2 stars from 6 reviews, and the brand store shows 5 reviews, three at five stars and two at four. That is too few to judge a product on, so we ranked it on its label and price. DMG is the one real difference from the other four. It is what TMG (betaine) becomes after it gives up one methyl group, but we have not found a human trial of NMN taken with DMG, so treat it as an extra ingredient rather than a proven upgrade.

Who it suits: buyers who want an Australian-made pharmacy product and like the idea of DMG in the same capsule.

Who it doesn’t suit: anyone watching cost per dose, or anyone who plans to take NMN for longer than the label’s 12 weeks.

Switch Nutrition NMN Capsules

Switch Nutrition lists its NMN Capsules at $79.95, with 250mg of CellVive NMN per capsule, two capsules a day on an empty stomach, and third-party testing to more than 99.9% purity. The brand page does not state the capsule count, and retailer listings disagree (one shows 60 capsules, another 60 serves), so we could not work out a reliable cost per day. The label carries the same 500mg daily limit and 12-week duration as the Melrose FutureLab box, and says it is not recommended for children under 15 or for pregnant or breastfeeding women.

The Beauty Chef Longevity Ritual (powder)

This is a blueberry-flavoured drink powder rather than a straight NMN product. A 3g scoop gives 250mg of CellVive NMN alongside Panax ginseng, vitamins C, D3 and K2, zinc, fermented resveratrol and a probiotic strain, with 30 serves in a 90g tub. It was $62.00, marked down from $89.00, which is $2.07 a day for 250mg of NMN. It suits people who want NMN inside a multi-ingredient morning drink. If you want 500mg of NMN a day, it gives you half that.

JSHealth NMN 500 + Resveratrol

At Chemist Warehouse for $67.99, each of the 60 capsules holds 250mg of NMN and 75mg of VeriSperse resveratrol, taken as two capsules once a day. That is 500mg of NMN and 150mg of resveratrol for $2.27 a day. The label limits NMN to 500mg a day and use to 12 weeks or less, and warns that resveratrol may affect some medicines, including warfarin.

Vitasolutions NMN & Resveratrol 1100mg (sold by Eternal Elixir)

The label gives 1,100mg of NMN and trans-resveratrol combined per serve without stating the split, so it can’t be compared milligram for milligram with the five above. Is NMN powder better than capsules?

People often search for the best NMN powder in Australia, but none of the five products in our ranking is a powder, and the one powder in this guide, The Beauty Chef Longevity Ritual, is a multi-ingredient drink with 250mg of NMN per scoop. Pure NMN powder lets you set your own dose. The catch is accuracy: 500mg is a small amount to judge by eye, so you need the scoop the maker supplies or a milligram scale. A capsule takes that job away, because each one is a known dose.

The cost-per-serve trap

There are two ways to divide an NMN price, and only one tells you what you pay. Divide by capsules and you get cost per capsule. Divide by serves, meaning the capsule count divided by the number the label tells you to take each day, and you get cost per day. When the label says one capsule, the two numbers match. When it says two, cost per capsule makes a product look twice as cheap as it is.

Switch Nutrition and JSHealth both use 250mg capsules taken two at a time, and Bulk Nutrients allows one or two. A 60-capsule bottle of 250mg capsules is a 30-day supply of 500mg, not a 60-day one. Read the directions before you compare any two prices, or use the cost-per-day column in the table above, which has done the division for you.

What the human research on NMN shows

Much of the excitement about NMN comes from animal studies, where it raised NAD+ and improved healthspan and lifespan. The authors of one of the larger human trials say plainly that it is unclear whether those effects transfer to people (Yi et al., 2023). Here is what the human trials have actually measured.

Blood NAD+ levels

The clearest human result is that NMN raises blood NAD+. In a 60-day trial, 80 healthy middle-aged adults took a placebo or 300mg, 600mg or 900mg of NMN once a day. Blood NAD+ rose in all three NMN groups at day 30 and day 60 compared with placebo (p ≤ 0.001), with the highest levels at 600mg and 900mg (Yi et al., GeroScience, 2023). In Japan, 60 older adults took 250mg a day or a placebo for 12 weeks, and the NMN group finished with higher blood NAD+ and higher levels of its breakdown products (Morifuji et al., GeroScience, 2024).

Physical function, fatigue and sleep

In the Yi trial, distance in a six-minute walk test rose more in every NMN group than on placebo. In the Morifuji trial, the main outcome, a stepping test, showed no difference between NMN and placebo at 4 or 12 weeks. The NMN group did complete a 4-metre walk faster at 12 weeks and scored better on a sleep-quality questionnaire, but those were secondary outcomes.

A third trial gave 108 older Japanese adults 250mg of NMN or a placebo once a day for 12 weeks, taken in the morning or the afternoon (Kim et al., Nutrients, 2022). Chair-stand times improved in every group, placebo included. The afternoon NMN group showed the largest effect sizes, for the five-times sit-to-stand test (d = 0.72) and for drowsiness (d = 0.64). It is one trial, and the timing result needs repeating before anyone treats afternoon dosing as settled. We look at timing in more depth in NMN in the morning versus at night.

Metabolic markers

The most rigorous metabolic study randomised 25 overweight postmenopausal women with raised blood sugar to 250mg of NMN a day (13 women) or a placebo (12 women) for 10 weeks. Muscle insulin sensitivity, measured with a hyperinsulinaemic-euglycaemic clamp, rose in the NMN group and did not change on placebo (Yoshino et al., Science, 2021). That is a strong method in a small, specific group, and it does not tell you what NMN does in healthy adults.

The wider picture is more modest. A 2026 meta-analysis pooled 15 randomised trials that used 250mg to 2,000mg a day for 14 days to 24 weeks. It found no significant effect on body weight, BMI, fasting glucose, HbA1c, blood lipids or systolic blood pressure. Diastolic blood pressure fell slightly, and HOMA-IR, an index of insulin sensitivity, showed a downward trend that was not significant (Yang et al., Nutrients, 2026).

Safety

The same meta-analysis found NMN did not increase overall, serious or withdrawal-related adverse events, and did not significantly raise the liver enzymes ALT or AST, in trials lasting up to 24 weeks. The Yi trial reported no safety issues at up to 900mg a day for 60 days. The earliest human study gave 10 healthy Japanese men single doses of 100mg, 250mg and 500mg and monitored them for five hours. There were no significant symptoms and no meaningful change in heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation or body temperature (Irie et al., Endocrine Journal, 2020). What has not been shown

• No human trial has shown that NMN extends lifespan or slows ageing. The lifespan results come from animals.
• The trials are small and short. The longest in the 2026 meta-analysis ran 24 weeks.
• Several trials were run by company employees. Three of the Yi trial’s authors are employed by Abinopharm or ABA Chemicals, and the Morifuji authors work for Meiji Holdings.
• A higher blood NAD+ reading is a marker. On its own it does not show a benefit you would feel.

So the fair summary is this. NMN at 250mg to 900mg a day raises blood NAD+ in people, looks well tolerated over weeks to months, and has produced some small functional changes in older adults. It is not a treatment for anything. If you take prescription medicines or manage a health condition, speak with your GP or pharmacist before you start.

How much NMN to take, and for how long

The individual trials above used 250mg to 900mg a day, the pooled data include doses up to 2,000mg, and most Australian products are built around 500mg. The Melrose FutureLab and Switch Nutrition labels say not to exceed 500mg a day and to take NMN for 12 weeks or less, and Bioglan’s directions say it is not recommended for more than 12 weeks. Timing matters less than taking it consistently. Our label suggests the morning, while the Kim trial saw its largest effects with afternoon doses. Judge it over two to three months rather than two weeks, because the trials that found changes ran 60 days to 12 weeks. The pooled trial data stop at 24 weeks, so if you plan to take NMN for longer than that, you are past what has been studied, and that is worth raising with your GP. What works better than NMN? NR and other options

The closest alternative is nicotinamide riboside (NR), another NAD+ precursor. In a crossover trial, 24 healthy middle-aged and older adults completed six weeks of 1,000mg of NR a day and six weeks of placebo. NR raised NAD+ in blood cells by about 60% compared with placebo and was well tolerated (Martens et al., Nature Communications, 2018). The other products people add to NMN work on different things rather than doing NMN’s job better.

TMG (betaine) is a dietary methyl donor, and a review in Nutrients reports that betaine supplementation lowers post-methionine-load homocysteine (Obeid, 2013). That research is about betaine, not NMN, so treat the pairing as a sensible precaution rather than a proven need.
