On quality, we have no complaint to make from the label. It names a branded NMN raw material, states the amount per capsule and gives a clear daily dose. On value, the 30-capsule bottle is the problem. You pay for a month at a time, and the per-gram price stays high even when Chemist Warehouse discounts it by half. The 12-week note on the label is the other thing to read before you buy, because NMN is usually taken as an ongoing habit rather than a short course.

This is what Bioglan’s own product page and the Chemist Warehouse listings say:
- Active: nicotinamide mononucleotide, 500mg per hard capsule in the NMN 500 and 250mg per hard capsule in the NMN 250.

A named raw material at a stated amount is what you want to see, and it is more than some cheap imports tell you. Bioglan’s website is run by Pharm-a-care Laboratories (PharmaCare), based in Warriewood, New South Wales.
The 12-week note deserves a second look. It is Bioglan’s own usage limit, printed on its label, and it does not say NMN becomes unsafe after 12 weeks. It does sit awkwardly with a healthy-ageing product, since the human trials below ran for six weeks to three months and people who take NMN usually intend to keep going. Whatever brand you buy, follow its label directions and talk to your doctor if you are unsure.
How much does Bioglan NMN cost in Australia?

What do Bioglan NMN reviews say?
Not much yet. When we checked in September 2026, the Chemist Warehouse listing for Bioglan NMN 500 showed four customer reviews and the NMN 250 listing showed one. That is far too few to tell you whether the product suits most people, and star ratings on a handful of reviews move a lot with each new one.
Reviews also cannot tell you the thing most buyers want to know, which is whether NMN is doing anything measurable. For that, the human trials are a better guide.
Is Bioglan a good brand?
Bioglan is a mainstream Australian supplement brand sold through pharmacies such as Chemist Warehouse and Pharmacy Online. Its NMN label is clear about what is in each capsule, which counts in its favour. Whether it is the right NMN brand for you depends less on the name on the box and more on three things you can check on any bottle: the milligrams of NMN per capsule, the number of capsules, and the price per gram. On the first, Bioglan NMN 500 matches ours. On the other two, a 90-capsule bottle comes out well ahead.
Does 500mg of NMN a day do anything? What the human trials show
Human trials of NMN are recent, small and short, and several were run with NMN makers. Here are three of the better ones, with who took part, the dose and how long it lasted. We have left out mouse studies, because results in mice do not tell you what happens in people.
60 days in healthy middle-aged adults. Yi and colleagues randomised 80 healthy middle-aged adults to placebo or 300mg, 600mg or 900mg of NMN once a day for 60 days. Blood NAD rose in every NMN group compared with placebo, and was highest at 600mg and 900mg. Distance on a six-minute walking test improved more in all three NMN groups than with placebo, with the longest distances at 600mg and 900mg. A general health questionnaire (SF-36) also improved compared with placebo. A measure of insulin resistance did not change, and no safety problems were found up to 900mg a day. Three of the authors were employees of the companies Abinopharm and ABA Chemicals (GeroScience, 2023).
Six weeks in amateur runners. Liao and colleagues gave 48 recreational runners placebo or 300mg, 600mg or 1,200mg of NMN a day for six weeks while they kept training. Oxygen uptake and power at the ventilatory thresholds rose more in the 600mg and 1,200mg groups than with placebo. Maximum oxygen uptake and peak power did not change in any group (J Int Soc Sports Nutr, 2021).
Up to 12 weeks in older men. Igarashi and colleagues gave healthy older men 250mg of NMN a day or placebo for six or 12 weeks. NAD and related compounds in blood rose, and it was well tolerated. Gait speed and left-hand grip showed only nominal improvements that the authors said need confirming in larger studies, and body composition did not change (NPJ Aging, 2022).
What this means for a 500mg capsule. One capsule of either Bioglan NMN 500 or our NMN 500mg sits inside the 250mg to 1,200mg range these trials tested, and above the 250mg dose that raised blood NAD in older men. It is below the 600mg to 900mg range where the 60-day trial saw its largest changes. Follow your label rather than raising the dose on your own, and speak to your doctor if you are considering more.
What has not been shown. None of these trials ran longer than 12 weeks, so long-term effects in people are unknown. No human trial has shown that NMN extends lifespan. No trial has compared Bioglan’s NMN with any other brand. Treat NMN as a supplement that raises blood NAD in short trials, with early and modest signals on fitness measures, and judge it over weeks rather than days.
