Nicotinamide riboside. The 2017 trial of 120 adults aged 60 to 80 found the rise in whole-blood NAD+ described above, with no serious adverse events. It was funded by the company that sells the tested combination, and most of its authors were company employees. It measured a biomarker, not a health outcome, and it tested NR together with pterostilbene, so it doesn’t tell you what NR alone would do (Dellinger 2017).
