Quick answer: Yes, Chemist Warehouse sells glutathione. In September 2026 we found reduced glutathione capsules, liposomal capsules, a liposomal sublingual tablet, a liposomal liquid and a skin blend on its site. The catch is the dose. The strongest glutathione capsule or tablet we found there had 250mg per unit, while the six-month trial that raised glutathione stores saw its largest increases at 1,000mg a day. Our pick is Eternal Elixir Reduced L-Glutathione 2000mg: 1,000mg per capsule, 2,000mg per two-capsule serve, 90 capsules for $39.99. That is $0.89 a serve and $0.44 per gram of glutathione, against $3.13 to $11.66 per gram for the Chemist Warehouse options below.
Eternal Elixir makes Reduced L-Glutathione 2000mg, and it is our pick. We rank it first because it gives you the most glutathione per dollar of anything in this comparison, and we show the maths so you can check it. Chemist Warehouse prices and labels below come from its own product pages, checked in September 2026. Its prices change often, so check the listing before you buy.

Does Chemist Warehouse sell glutathione? What we found in 2026
Searching “glutathione Chemist Warehouse” turns up five main supplements. Here is what each one is, straight from the listing:
- BioCeuticals Glutathione 60 Capsules: plain reduced glutathione, 250mg per capsule. It is marked practitioner only.
- Henry Blooms VitaQIK Liposomal Glutathione Sublingual 30 Tablets: 250mg per tablet that you dissolve in the mouth. It is sold online only, through a marketplace seller.
- BioHack Wanderlust Liposomal Glutathione 60 Capsules: 125mg of liposomal reduced glutathione per capsule, taken two a day.
- BioCeuticals Liposomal Glutathione Liquid 50ml: 100mg per 1mL spray dose. It is kept in the fridge, marked practitioner only and listed as unavailable online, so it is an in-store purchase.
- Swisse Beauty Bright Skin 120 Capsules: a skin blend with 25mg of glutathione per capsule alongside vitamin C, cysteine and plant extracts.
So the answer to “does Chemist Warehouse sell L glutathione?” is yes. The answer to “does Chemist Warehouse sell glutathione 1000mg?” is no, at least among the products we checked. None of them has more than 250mg per capsule or tablet, and the labels cap the daily serve at two units, so the most you can take by the label is 500mg a day.
Glutathione at Chemist Warehouse vs Eternal Elixir: the six compared
This table compares each product at the serve its own label gives. Cost per gram is the fairest single number, because it ignores bottle size and asks what one gram of glutathione costs you.
| Rank | Product | Price (AUD, as of Sep 2026) | Pack | Glutathione per unit | Label serve (glutathione) | Cost per day at label serve | Cost per gram of glutathione | Buy |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Eternal Elixir Reduced L-Glutathione 2000mg (our pick) | $39.99 | 90 capsules | 1,000mg | 2 capsules (2,000mg) | $0.89 | $0.44 | View at Eternal Elixir |
| 2 | BioCeuticals Glutathione | $47.99 | 60 capsules | 250mg | 1 to 2 capsules (250 to 500mg) | $0.80 to $1.60 | $3.20 | Chemist Warehouse |

Add Reduced L-Glutathione to cart · $39.99
Put in plain terms, one serve of ours has 2,000mg of glutathione for $0.89. The best Chemist Warehouse capsule by the label gets you 500mg for $1.60. Swisse Bright Skin looks cheap per day at $0.29, but it has 25mg of glutathione per capsule, and that is why its cost per gram is the highest here.
The six glutathione options ranked
1. Eternal Elixir Reduced L-Glutathione 2000mg: most glutathione per dollar
Each capsule has 1,000mg of reduced L-glutathione, the form your body uses. The label serve is two capsules a day on an empty stomach, so a serve is 2,000mg and a bottle of 90 capsules lasts 45 days. The ingredient list is short: reduced L-glutathione, rice flour and a cellulose capsule.
At $39.99 a bottle, that works out to $0.89 a serve and $0.44 per gram. Buying two bottles saves 10%, three save 15% and five save 20%, and orders over $100 ship free.
Who it suits: anyone who wants a dose in the range the human trials used without swallowing a handful of capsules. One capsule alone matches the 1,000mg daily dose from the six-month trial below.
Who it doesn’t suit: people who want to pick glutathione up in a pharmacy today, since we sell online and ship from Sydney. It is also more than you need if you only want a small amount alongside a skincare routine. No trial we cite tested 2,000mg a day, so the label serve is higher than the doses studied.
We have a full glutathione dosage guide for Australia if you want to work out how much to take.
2. BioCeuticals Glutathione 60 Capsules: plain reduced glutathione from a practitioner range
This is the closest thing at Chemist Warehouse to a straight glutathione capsule. Each capsule of BioCeuticals Glutathione has 250mg of reduced glutathione, and the label says one capsule once or twice a day. It is vegan, and Chemist Warehouse marks it practitioner only. The listing showed a 4.5-star average from 28 reviews.
At $47.99 for 60 capsules, one capsule costs $0.80 and the two-capsule maximum costs $1.60 a day for 500mg. That is $3.20 per gram. The label says adults only, and not during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Who it suits: people who want a plain reduced glutathione from a pharmacy brand and are happy with a modest dose.
Who it doesn’t suit: anyone aiming for the 1,000mg a day used in the six-month trial, which is twice the label maximum here.
3. Henry Blooms VitaQIK Liposomal Glutathione: lowest cost per gram at Chemist Warehouse
The Henry Blooms VitaQIK tablets are liposomal tablets you chew and dissolve in your mouth or under your tongue, 250mg each, one or two times a day before meals. At the discounted $23.48 for 30 tablets (RRP $46.95), the cost is $0.78 a tablet and $3.13 per gram, the lowest cost per gram of the Chemist Warehouse options we found. At the RRP it doubles.
It is sold online only by a marketplace seller, Phytologic, so you can’t pick it up in store. The label says it contains sulfites and mannitol and is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. The listing showed 3.8 stars from 6 reviews.
Who it suits: people who don’t like swallowing capsules.
Who it doesn’t suit: people sensitive to sulfites, and anyone who wants more than 500mg a day.
4. BioHack Wanderlust Liposomal Glutathione 60 Capsules: a liposomal capsule on promotion
Each BioHack Wanderlust capsule has 125mg of liposomal reduced glutathione, and the label serve is two capsules, so 250mg a day. At the promotional $34.49 (RRP $68.99), a serve costs $1.15 and a gram costs $4.60. At the RRP, a gram costs $9.20.
Who it suits: buyers who specifically want a liposomal capsule and will take a low dose.
Who it doesn’t suit: anyone comparing on dose. The label serve is a quarter of the 1,000mg trial dose.
We cover the liposomal question in detail in our comparison of liposomal glutathione versus reduced L-glutathione in Australia.
5. BioCeuticals Liposomal Glutathione Liquid 50ml: the liquid option
BioCeuticals Liposomal Glutathione Liquid is a spray: two sprays (1mL) give 100mg of reduced glutathione, held in the mouth for 30 to 120 seconds before swallowing, once a day. It must be refrigerated, it is marked practitioner only, and the listing shows it as unavailable online.
At $56.99 for 50mL, a daily dose costs $1.14 and a gram costs $11.40.
Who it suits: people who can’t take capsules or tablets at all.
Who it doesn’t suit: anyone who wants a meaningful dose for the money, or who can’t get to a store.
6. Swisse Beauty Bright Skin 120 Capsules: a skin blend with a small amount of glutathione
Each Swisse Beauty Bright Skin capsule has 25mg of glutathione with 100mg of vitamin C, 120mg of cysteine, 1mg of astaxanthin, 2.5mg of nicotinamide and fruit extracts. You take one a day with a meal. At $34.99 for 120 capsules (RRP $69.99), it costs $0.29 a day. The listing showed 4.6 stars from 30 reviews.
Who it suits: people who want a general skin blend and aren’t chasing a glutathione dose.
Who it doesn’t suit: anyone buying it for glutathione. At 25mg a day it is a tenth of the lowest dose in the skin trial below, and the label says it contains phenylalanine, soy and sulfites.
What the research says about oral glutathione
For years the standard objection was that glutathione is broken down in the gut, so swallowing it does nothing. The human trials give a more mixed and more useful answer.
Six months, two doses. Richie and colleagues randomised 54 non-smoking adults to placebo or 250mg or 1,000mg of oral glutathione a day for six months. Blood glutathione rose at 1, 3 and 6 months at both doses. At six months the 1,000mg group had increases of 30 to 35% in red blood cells, plasma and lymphocytes and 260% in cheek cells. The 250mg group rose 17% in whole blood and 29% in red blood cells. Levels went back to baseline one month after stopping (Richie et al., European Journal of Nutrition, 2015).
Liposomal, one month. Sinha and colleagues gave 12 healthy adults 500mg or 1,000mg of liposomal glutathione a day for a month. Levels peaked at two weeks, up 40% in whole blood, 25% in red blood cells and 28% in plasma. It was a small pilot with no placebo group, and a liposomal glutathione company funded it (Sinha et al., European Journal of Clinical Nutrition, 2018).
The null result. Allen and Bradley gave 40 healthy adults 500mg of oral glutathione twice a day, or placebo, for four weeks. They found no significant change in oxidative stress markers or in glutathione status (Allen & Bradley, Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine, 2011). It is a real counterpoint, and it matters. One reading is that four weeks was too short, since Richie’s increases built over months. Another is that results vary between people and methods.
What hasn’t been shown. These trials measured glutathione levels and lab markers. None showed a change in long-term health outcomes, and none compared liposomal and plain glutathione head to head at the same dose. Claims that liposomal glutathione is several times better absorbed go beyond these human trials.
For the timeline, our guide to how long glutathione takes to work goes through the trial data month by month, and our overview of glutathione supplement benefits covers what glutathione does in the body.

Glutathione for skin: what Chemist Warehouse shoppers should know
Some searches for glutathione at Chemist Warehouse are really about skin, and some use the phrase “glutathione for skin whitening”. The evidence here is modest.
Weschawalit and colleagues randomised healthy women to 250mg a day of reduced glutathione, 250mg of oxidised glutathione or placebo for 12 weeks. Melanin index and UV spots tended to be lower than placebo with both forms, some sites showed fewer wrinkles with reduced glutathione, and there was a trend towards better skin elasticity. There were no serious side effects (Weschawalit et al., Clinical, Cosmetic and Investigational Dermatology, 2017).
“Tended to be lower” means the changes were small and not consistent across every measure. The dose was 250mg a day for three months, ten times what Swisse Bright Skin provides. If skin is your main goal, glutathione is one input among several, and our guide to the best skin supplements in Australia sets it beside the other options. Trans-resveratrol is another antioxidant people use in skin routines, and ours has 600mg per capsule in a 90-capsule bottle of trans-resveratrol.
Four checks before you buy any glutathione in Australia
The form. Look for “reduced” glutathione or L-glutathione (GSH) on the label. Every product in this comparison names it.
Milligrams per capsule and per serve. Front labels often show a serve total. Our 2000mg is a two-capsule serve, and BioHack’s 250mg is also two capsules. Read the back of the pack.
Capsules per bottle. A 60-capsule bottle at two a day lasts a month. Our 90 capsules at two a day last 45 days.
Cost per gram. Divide the total milligrams in the pack by 1,000 to get grams, then divide the price by that number. It takes a minute and cuts through bottle size and promotions.
The same arithmetic works in other aisles. Our guides to TUDCA at Chemist Warehouse and berberine at Chemist Warehouse run the same checks, and our NMN Chemist Warehouse guide covers what the pharmacy stocks for NAD+.
Who should avoid glutathione?
The Chemist Warehouse labels above say adults only and not during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Two also flag sulfites. If you take prescription medicines or have a medical condition, talk to your doctor or pharmacist before you start any supplement, including ours. Our guide to glutathione side effects in Australia covers what people report and what the trials recorded.
If liver support is what brought you here, glutathione is often compared with other options. See our breakdown of glutathione versus NAC, and our TUDCA 500mg capsules if bile-acid support is part of your plan.
Our verdict: the best glutathione supplement if Chemist Warehouse doesn’t have the dose
Chemist Warehouse sells glutathione, and BioCeuticals and Henry Blooms both make honest 250mg products. What we didn’t find on the shelf is a capsule that reaches the 1,000mg daily dose from the six-month trial within its own label directions. Our pick is Eternal Elixir Reduced L-Glutathione 2000mg: 1,000mg per capsule, 90 capsules per bottle and $0.44 per gram, delivered from Sydney. Is there a glutathione 1000mg at Chemist Warehouse?

Add Reduced L-Glutathione to cart · $39.99
What is the best glutathione supplement in Australia?
Our pick is Eternal Elixir Reduced L-Glutathione 2000mg. Eternal Elixir makes it, and we rank it first because it has 1,000mg of reduced glutathione per capsule and costs $0.44 per gram, well below every Chemist Warehouse option we found. If you want to buy in a pharmacy today, BioCeuticals Glutathione is the plain reduced glutathione capsule on the shelf.
What are the benefits of glutathione?
Glutathione is an antioxidant your body makes in every cell. In the trials above, oral glutathione raised glutathione levels in blood cells, and the six-month trial also saw a lower ratio of oxidised to reduced glutathione, a marker of oxidative stress. Those are changes in lab markers. Trials have not shown long-term health outcomes.
What happens to your body when you start taking glutathione?
In the six-month trial, blood glutathione was higher than baseline at the first check at one month and kept rising at the higher dose to six months. It fell back to baseline a month after people stopped. Most people notice nothing day to day, since the changes were measured in blood.
Does glutathione help with skin whitening?
The evidence is modest. In a 12-week trial of 250mg a day in healthy women, melanin index and UV spots tended to be lower than placebo, but not every measure changed. Skin blends at Chemist Warehouse contain far less glutathione than that trial used.
Who should avoid taking glutathione?
The labels we checked say adults only, and not during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Some products contain sulfites. If you take medicines or have a medical condition, speak to your doctor or pharmacist first.
Is liposomal glutathione better than reduced glutathione?
Not proven. Liposomal glutathione raised blood levels in a small one-month pilot, and plain oral glutathione raised them in a larger six-month trial. No trial has compared the two head to head at the same dose. On price, plain reduced glutathione gives you far more glutathione per dollar.
