Quick answer: No. The short answer to a TMG Chemist Warehouse 2026 search is that the chain’s website does not list a standalone TMG supplement. TMG is trimethylglycine, also sold as betaine anhydrous. When we checked in September 2026, the closest matches on chemistwarehouse.com.au were magnesium glycinate, digestive enzyme formulas and an NMN capsule that contains DMG, which is a different molecule. Australians buy TMG online from supplement brands and sports nutrition stores, and Woolworths lists one TMG powder through a marketplace seller. Our pick is Eternal Elixir TMG 2000mg: 90 capsules for $44.99, which is 30 three-capsule serves at $1.50 each, with 2,000mg of betaine anhydrous in every serve. It ships from Sydney within 24 hours.
Eternal Elixir makes TMG 2000mg, and it is our pick. We read every other product in this guide on its own product page or on the retailer page we link, in September 2026. We have not lab-tested any of them. Ranges and prices change, so check the retailer yourself before you decide.

Does Chemist Warehouse sell TMG?
Not online when we checked. Chemist Warehouse’s own search page blocks automated tools, so in September 2026 we ran site-restricted web searches of chemistwarehouse.com.au for “trimethylglycine”, “betaine anhydrous”, “TMG” and “TMG powder”. Then we opened the closest product pages and read their ingredient panels. This is what came back:
- Magnesium glycinate from Ethical Nutrients, Swisse, Caruso’s and Nature’s Own. Search engines match “glycine” inside “glycinate”. Magnesium glycinate is magnesium bound to glycine, with no trimethylglycine in it.
- Digestive enzyme capsules such as BioCeuticals MultiGest, whose panel lists enzymes, fennel seed and gentian root. There is no betaine of any kind in it.
- B-vitamin and folate products, including BioCeuticals MTHF and Bioglan Mega B Complex. Neither is sold as a TMG product.
- NMN and NAD+ capsules from Melrose FutureLab. The NMN 500mg capsule also contains dimethylglycine (DMG), which the next section explains.
Two limits apply to that answer. We could not read the live results in Chemist Warehouse’s own search box, and we did not check stores, where ranges can differ. Read it as a snapshot from September 2026 and search again before you rule the chain out.
Why the gap? Discount pharmacy chains give shelf space to products that sell in volume in every store, such as magnesium and multivitamins. TMG has grown up in the sports nutrition and longevity channels instead, and those sell mostly online. Our complete TMG supplement guide for Australia covers what TMG is and how it is dosed. This page stays on where you can buy it.
What turns up instead, and why none of it is TMG
Each near miss appears for a reason, and each one is easy to buy by mistake.
DMG: one methyl group short
Melrose FutureLab NMN 500mg is the product most likely to confuse a TMG shopper at Chemist Warehouse. Its listing gives 500mg of NMN and 250mg of dimethylglycine hydrochloride (DMG) per capsule, at $52.47 for 30 capsules as of Sep 2026.
DMG is what TMG turns into after it does its main job. TMG is glycine carrying three methyl groups. When it hands one of them to homocysteine, DMG is left, and liver and kidney cells then break DMG down to sarcosine (Arumugam et al., Biology, 2021). A DMG product is therefore a different product. Our comparison of TMG vs glycine vs DMG vs SAMe sets out which of these are methyl donors. If NMN is what you came for, our check of NMN at Chemist Warehouse covers that range.
“Betaine” on a shampoo bottle
Search almost any Australian pharmacy or supermarket website for “betaine” and shampoos and body washes come up. That is because cocamidopropyl betaine, a mild surfactant made from coconut fatty acids, is one of the most common ingredients in personal care. It shares a word with TMG and nothing else.
Betaine HCl in digestive formulas
Betaine hydrochloride (betaine HCl) is sold in digestive products as a source of stomach acid. It is not used as a methyl donor, and the TMG trials used betaine anhydrous. We unpack the label wording in betaine anhydrous vs TMG vs betaine HCl. On any label, look for “betaine anhydrous” or “trimethylglycine”.
Woolworths and Coles: what the supermarkets list
Woolworths is the one big chain where we found TMG. Its website lists Switch Nutrition TMG 100% Pure Trimethylglycine 150g, marked “Sold and shipped by Healthylife” through Everyday Market, the Woolworths online marketplace. So you can order it through the Woolworths website, but it comes from the marketplace seller rather than a supermarket shelf. The price is shown only to logged-in shoppers, so we have not quoted it here. The same tub is listed on Switch Nutrition’s own site, which the table below uses.
A site-restricted search of coles.com.au for TMG and trimethylglycine returned magnesium glycinate powders and no TMG. We did not check Coles stores.
One quirk: searching “TMG” on the Woolworths website also returns groceries from a food brand with the same three letters, such as sundried tomatoes. Search for “trimethylglycine” instead.
Where to buy TMG in Australia: compared
These are the TMG products we could confirm were on sale to Australians in September 2026. Prices are in Australian dollars as of Sep 2026. Each product has a different serve, so the table gives the cost per day at the label’s own directions and the cost per gram of TMG, which puts powders and capsules on the same footing. For a longer ranking, see our comparison of TMG supplements in Australia.

Add TMG 2000mg to cart · $44.99Delivery changes the sums for small orders. Eternal Elixir ships free on orders over $100. Bulk Nutrients charges a flat $9 Australia-wide. Switch Nutrition ships free over $150, myBrainCo over $99, Naturecan from $9.99 and free over $179, and DoNotAge offers free delivery on its AUD store only over $300, with rest-of-world orders quoted at 3 to 7 working days.
Who each option suits, and who it doesn’t
- Eternal Elixir TMG 2000mg suits people who want the 2,000mg serve in capsules, local dispatch and a 30-day money-back guarantee. It does not suit someone whose only test is the lowest price per gram, or who would rather take one capsule than three.
- Switch Nutrition TMG has the lowest cost per gram and lets you choose 1g, 2g or 3g a day. You measure a scoop each time, and the page says it is made in a facility that also processes wheat, tree nuts, dairy, soy and fish.
- myBrainCo TMG Powder is the cheapest pack to try. Its label caps use at one 1g serve a day, so it is not built for a 2g routine.
- Bulk Nutrients TMG Capsules are the cheapest capsule per gram. At 600mg a capsule, the label’s top serve is 1,200mg.
- Naturecan TMG is one 686mg capsule a day. Delivery is charged below $179.
- DoNotAge Pure TMG costs the most per gram here, and free delivery starts at $300.

Eternal Elixir TMG 2000mg: what you get
Here is what the label and product page say, with nothing added.
- Amount: 2,000mg of betaine anhydrous per three-capsule serve, 90 vegetable capsules per bottle, 30 serves.
- Ingredients: trimethylglycine (betaine anhydrous), rice flour and a vegetable capsule. It suits vegans and vegetarians.
- Price: $44.99 a bottle, which is $1.50 a serve.
- Buying ahead: the product page takes 10% off two bottles, 15% off three and 20% off five. Three bottles come to $114.72, which clears the $100 free-shipping line and brings the cost down to $1.27 a serve.
- Service: dispatch from Sydney within 24 hours on business days, a 30-day money-back guarantee and Afterpay at checkout. The product page says each batch is tested by a third-party laboratory, with a certificate of analysis available on request.
Where it does not win: both powders and the Bulk Nutrients capsule cost less per gram. What you get from us is the 2,000mg serve in capsules, a single ingredient with rice flour as the only filler, and a local order that arrives without an overseas wait. Read the full label on our TMG 2000mg product page or browse the rest of our range.
TMG is often taken alongside an NAD+ precursor such as NMN. Our explainer on why NMN and TMG are taken together covers that reasoning and where the evidence stops.
Why 2,000mg? What the TMG studies found
The serve on our label sits inside the range the human trials used. Here is what they measured.
| Study | Who took part | Daily dose and length | What changed |
|---|---|---|---|
| Olthof et al., 2003 | 76 healthy men and women, four groups of 19 | 1.5g, 3g or 6g of betaine, or placebo, for 6 weeks | Fasting plasma homocysteine was 12%, 15% and 20% lower than placebo |
| Cholewa et al., 2013 | 23 strength-trained men | 2.5g of betaine or placebo for 6 weeks of training | Body composition, arm size and bench press training volume improved with betaine. One-rep-max strength did not change |
| Olthof et al., 2005 (pooled data) | 151 healthy people across three betaine trials | 6g of betaine for 6 weeks | LDL cholesterol rose 0.36 mmol/L and triglycerides 0.14 mmol/L against placebo |
In the Dutch dose trial, 76 healthy adults took 1.5g, 3g or 6g of betaine or a placebo each day for six weeks. Fasting homocysteine ended 12%, 15% and 20% lower than in the placebo group (Olthof et al., Journal of Nutrition, 2003). A 2,000mg serve sits between the two lower doses. In a training study, 23 strength-trained men took 2.5g a day or a placebo through a six-week programme. The betaine group improved body composition and bench press training volume, but not one-rep-max strength (Cholewa et al., Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition, 2013).
More is not automatically better. When the same Dutch group pooled three trials covering 151 healthy people, 6g of betaine a day for six weeks raised LDL cholesterol by 0.36 mmol/L and triglycerides by 0.14 mmol/L against placebo. Lower doses also nudged LDL up, but those changes were not statistically significant (Olthof et al., PLoS Medicine, 2005).
What has not been shown
- These trials were small and ran for six weeks. We found no long-term trial of TMG supplements in healthy adults.
- Homocysteine is a blood marker. A lower reading after six weeks is not the same as a proven long-term health benefit, and no betaine trial we found tested that.
- We found no trial that compared TMG powder with TMG capsules. The form changes convenience and cost, not the molecule.
How to compare any TMG label
Wherever you shop, five checks turn a guess into a like-for-like comparison.
- The ingredient name. You want “betaine anhydrous” or “trimethylglycine”. Betaine HCl is a digestive product, cocamidopropyl betaine belongs in shampoo, and DMG is a different molecule.
- Milligrams per serve, with the serve size beside it. “2,000mg per 3 capsules” tells you everything. A per-capsule figure on its own leaves you doing the maths.
- The label’s daily limit. Some powders cap use at one 1g serve a day. Follow the label you buy.
- Whether it is a blend. In pre-workouts and methylation formulas, find the betaine anhydrous figure itself. The headline number may describe the whole blend.
- Cost per gram of TMG. Divide the price by the total grams of TMG in the pack. For our bottle, $44.99 divided by 60g is $0.75 a gram.
Who should talk to a doctor first
Our product page says not to use TMG if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, and it is made for adults. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before you start if you take prescription medicines, have a kidney condition or any other medical condition, or have been told your cholesterol is high, given the LDL rise seen at 6g a day.
Other things Australians look for at Chemist Warehouse
TMG is not the only longevity ingredient that sends people to the chemist and back again. We have checked the same question for TUDCA at Chemist Warehouse, berberine at Chemist Warehouse and magnesium threonate at Chemist Warehouse. If you are building a longevity routine around TMG, our NMN 500mg capsules are one capsule a day, 90 to a bottle.
The bottom line
Chemist Warehouse did not list a TMG supplement online when we checked in September 2026, and the near misses there are DMG, glycinate and digestive products. Woolworths lists one TMG powder through a marketplace seller. Everything else is sold online. If the lowest cost per gram is all that matters, a powder wins. If you want the 2,000mg serve in capsules with Sydney dispatch, our pick is Eternal Elixir TMG 2000mg at $1.50 a serve.
TMG at Chemist Warehouse: frequently asked questions
Does Chemist Warehouse sell TMG?
Not on its website when we checked in September 2026. Searches for trimethylglycine, betaine anhydrous and TMG returned magnesium glycinate, digestive enzymes, B-vitamin products and an NMN capsule containing DMG, but no TMG supplement. We could not check stores, and ranges change, so search again if you want to be sure.
Can I buy TMG at Woolworths or Coles?
Woolworths lists Switch Nutrition TMG 150g on its website, sold and shipped by Healthylife through its Everyday Market marketplace rather than stocked in stores. A search of the Coles website returned no TMG. We did not check stores at either chain.
Where can I buy TMG in Australia?
Online, from supplement brands and sports nutrition stores. Eternal Elixir, Switch Nutrition, myBrainCo, Bulk Nutrients, Naturecan and DoNotAge all sold TMG to Australians in September 2026. Our pick is Eternal Elixir TMG 2000mg, which ships from Sydney within 24 hours.
Add TMG 2000mg to cart · $44.99
What is the best TMG supplement in Australia?
Our pick is Eternal Elixir TMG 2000mg, which we make: 2,000mg of betaine anhydrous per three-capsule serve, 90 capsules for $44.99, and dispatch from Sydney within 24 hours. Switch Nutrition’s powder has the lowest cost per gram, and Bulk Nutrients is the cheapest capsule per gram. The table above compares all six.
Is betaine the same thing as TMG?
Betaine anhydrous and trimethylglycine are two names for the same molecule. Betaine HCl is a different product sold for digestion, and cocamidopropyl betaine is a surfactant used in shampoos and body washes. Check the ingredient panel for betaine anhydrous or trimethylglycine.
How much TMG should I take a day?
Follow the label of the product you buy. Our label gives 2,000mg a day as three capsules with a meal. Human trials used 1.5g to 6g a day for six weeks, and 6g a day raised LDL cholesterol in pooled data, so a higher dose is not automatically better.
Who should not take TMG?
Our product page says not to use it if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, and it is made for adults. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist first if you take prescription medicines, have a kidney condition or another medical condition, or have high cholesterol.
