Quick Answer
Our pick for a resveratrol supplement in Australia is Eternal Elixir Trans-Resveratrol 1200mg. Each capsule holds 600mg of trans-resveratrol at a stated 98% purity, and the two-capsule serve gives 1,200mg, the highest daily dose of the eight products we priced. A $59.99 bottle holds 45 serves, which is $1.33 a day or $0.56 per 500mg. Bulk Nutrients was the only product cheaper per milligram, at $0.37 per 500mg.
Eternal Elixir makes this product, so read this box as our pick with the working shown below. Competitor prices were read from each live listing on 25 September 2026.
Resveratrol is a plant polyphenol found in small amounts in grapes, red wine, some berries and roots. Supplements sold in Australia mostly extract it from Japanese knotweed, and they range from 25mg to 600mg per capsule. That spread means the daily cost of a real dose runs from about $0.37 to $4.28 per 500mg of resveratrol.
Comparing them is harder than it looks. Some labels state trans-resveratrol and its purity, some say only “resveratrol”, and one gives a figure “equivalent to” resveratrol from a root extract. Serve sizes run from one capsule to four. This guide puts each product on the same footing, cost per 500mg of the resveratrol the label states, and then shows the cost of the serve each label tells you to take.

Resveratrol supplements in Australia compared (as of Sep 2026)
Cost per day uses the smallest daily serve on each label. Cost per 500mg divides the price by the total resveratrol in the pack. Prices are in AUD, single-pack, and exclude postage.
| # | Product | Price (AUD) | Count | Resveratrol per capsule | Label serve (per day) | Cost per day | Cost per 500mg | Buy |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Eternal Elixir Trans-Resveratrol 1200mg | $59.99 | 90 capsules | 600mg trans (98%) | 2 capsules (1,200mg) | $1.33 | $0.56 | Buy from Eternal Elixir |
| 2 | Bulk Nutrients Resveratrol Capsules | $44.00 | 120 capsules | 500mg (form not stated) | 1 to 2 capsules (500mg to 1,000mg) | $0.37 | $0.37 | Bulk Nutrients |
| 3 | Naturecan Resveratrol Capsules | $54.00 | 60 capsules | 500mg, with rosemary extract | 1 capsule (500mg) | $0.90 | $0.90 | Naturecan |
| 4 | Herbs of Gold Resveratrol AdvantAGE | $62.80 (sale, usually $78.50) | 60 capsules | 250mg, with vitamin C and zinc | 1 capsule (250mg) | $1.05 | $2.09 | Herbs of Gold |
| 5 | Healthy Care Resveratrol | $19.19 | 180 capsules | Equivalent to 25mg, with grape seed and vitamin C | 2 to 4 capsules (50mg to 100mg) | $0.21 | $2.13 | Healthy Care |
| 6 | For Youth The Grape | $49.00 | 30 capsules | 300mg Veri-te trans | 1 capsule (300mg) | $1.63 | $2.72 | For Youth |
| 7 | Metagenics Resveratrol Healthy Ageing Complex | $65.95 | 30 tablets | 300mg, with quercetin and turmeric | 1 tablet (300mg) | $2.20 | $3.66 | Metagenics |
| 8 | Genetic Labs Pure Resveratrol | $77.00 | 60 capsules | 150mg trans, in MCT oil | 1 to 2 capsules (150mg to 300mg) | $1.28 | $4.28 | Genetic Labs |
Three patterns stand out. Bulk Nutrients is the cheapest per milligram, at $0.37 per 500mg, and we say so plainly. Our capsule costs $0.56 per 500mg, the second lowest here, and it is the only product in the table that states both the trans form and a purity figure at a daily dose above 1,000mg. A low daily cost can mean a small dose. Healthy Care costs $0.21 a day, but that buys 50mg of resveratrol equivalent, and getting 500mg from it would cost $2.13. Blends change the maths. Metagenics and Herbs of Gold add quercetin, turmeric, vitamin C or zinc, which you may or may not want, and that pushes their cost per 500mg of resveratrol above $2.
Buying more than one bottle lowers our side further. The product page takes 10% off two bottles ($107.98), 15% off three ($152.97) and 20% off five ($239.96). At two bottles that is $1.20 a day, and the order ships free because it is over $100.
How we ranked these eight resveratrol products
Eternal Elixir sells resveratrol, and this list puts our product first. That is our pick, and you should read it as one. Every competitor figure comes from that competitor’s own listing, read on 25 September 2026, and we have not changed any of their numbers to flatter ours.
After our pick, the order follows cost per 500mg of the resveratrol each label states, from lowest to highest. We also looked at:
- Dose per daily serve. How much resveratrol the label’s own serve delivers, since that is what you will actually take.
- Form disclosure. Whether the label names trans-resveratrol and gives a purity figure, or only says “resveratrol” or “equivalent to”.
- Added ingredients. Blends are not worse, but you should know what else you are paying for.
- Where it ships from, and what postage adds.
We did not send any product to a laboratory. Testing claims are reported as each seller makes them. Eternal Elixir’s product page says every batch is third-party lab tested for purity and potency, and that the current batch certificate of analysis is available on request.
#1 Eternal Elixir Trans-Resveratrol 1200mg
Eternal Elixir Trans-Resveratrol 1200mg is our pick because it gives the most trans-resveratrol per daily serve of anything we priced, at the second-lowest cost per milligram. Each capsule contains 600mg of trans-resveratrol at a stated 98% purity from Japanese knotweed (Polygonum cuspidatum). The label serve is two capsules, 1,200mg, and a 90-capsule bottle gives 45 serves for $59.99. That is $1.33 a day, or $0.56 per 500mg.
Label facts: trans-resveratrol 600mg per capsule, 1,200mg per two-capsule serve. Other ingredients: rice flour and a cellulose capsule. Take two capsules daily, with or without food.
Who it suits:
- People who want a high daily dose with the trans form and purity on the label.
- Anyone who would rather take two capsules than four or five to reach 1,000mg or more.
- Buyers who want Australian dispatch. Orders ship from Sydney within 24 hours, and two bottles clear the $100 free-shipping line.
Who it doesn’t suit:
- Anyone who wants the lowest cost per milligram above all else. Bulk Nutrients is cheaper, with no stated trans or purity figure.
- People who want a small daily dose. The capsules hold 600mg each, so the smallest practical serve is 600mg.
- Buyers who want resveratrol blended with vitamin C, quercetin or turmeric. Ours is resveratrol only.
#2 Bulk Nutrients Resveratrol Capsules
Bulk Nutrients Resveratrol is the cheapest per milligram in this comparison. It costs $44.00 for 120 capsules of 500mg, with a label serve of one or two capsules. At one a day that is $0.37, and the tub lasts four months.
Label facts: resveratrol 500mg per capsule, take one capsule once or twice a day, with or without food. The ingredient is listed as “resveratrol”, with no trans percentage stated on the listing. Shipping is a flat $9 Australia-wide.
Who it suits: buyers who want the lowest cost per milligram from an Australian company and are happy without a stated trans figure.
Who it doesn’t suit: anyone who wants the trans form and purity printed on the label, or a daily intake above 1,000mg.
#3 Naturecan Resveratrol Capsules
Naturecan Resveratrol sells 60 capsules for $54.00. Each capsule holds 500mg of resveratrol with 60mg of rosemary extract, and the label serve is one capsule a day, preferably after a meal. That is $0.90 a day. The listing says it is made in Europe and third-party tested, with a certificate of analysis linked.
Who it suits: people who want a single 500mg capsule a day from a brand that links its certificate.
Who it doesn’t suit: buyers watching cost per milligram. At $0.90 per 500mg it costs more than either of the two products above, and the listing does not state a trans percentage.
#4 Herbs of Gold Resveratrol AdvantAGE
Herbs of Gold Resveratrol AdvantAGE is an Australian brand’s formula: 250mg of resveratrol from Japanese knotweed per capsule, with vitamin C and zinc. The label serve is one capsule a day with food. It was on sale at $62.80 for 60 capsules when we checked (usually $78.50), which is $1.05 a day, or $2.09 per 500mg of resveratrol.
Who it suits: buyers who want resveratrol alongside vitamin C and zinc in one capsule, from a brand sold through Australian health stores.
Who it doesn’t suit: anyone after a higher resveratrol dose. Reaching 500mg would take two capsules, and the label says one.
#5 Healthy Care Resveratrol
Healthy Care Resveratrol is the low-cost pharmacy-brand option. Healthy Care’s own site sells 180 capsules for $19.19. Each capsule contains Japanese knotweed extract equivalent to 25mg of resveratrol, plus grape seed extract and 100mg of vitamin C. The label serve is two to four capsules a day with a meal, which is 50mg to 100mg of resveratrol for $0.21 to $0.43 a day.
Who it suits: people who want a low-dose antioxidant blend at a low daily price.
Who it doesn’t suit: anyone looking for the doses used in human resveratrol studies. At its maximum serve it gives 100mg, and getting 500mg would mean twenty capsules.
#6 For Youth The Grape
For Youth The Grape uses Veri-te, a branded trans-resveratrol ingredient, at 300mg per capsule. A 30-capsule pack costs $49.00 at a one-capsule daily serve, which the brand lists as $1.63 a day (less on its three- and six-pack offers). That is $2.72 per 500mg. The listing says it is made in France.
Veri-te is the “standard” resveratrol that researchers used as the comparison in the absorption study covered below, which gives you a published reference point for the ingredient.
Who it suits: buyers who want a branded, clearly named trans-resveratrol ingredient in one capsule a day.
Who it doesn’t suit: anyone after a higher dose or a lower cost. At 300mg a day it gives a quarter of our daily serve for more money per day.
#7 Metagenics Resveratrol Healthy Ageing Complex
Metagenics Resveratrol Healthy Ageing Complex is a practitioner brand’s once-daily tablet. Each tablet contains 300mg of resveratrol from Reynoutria japonica (Japanese knotweed), 200mg of quercetin and 152mg of BCM-95 turmeric extract. A 30-tablet pack costs $65.95, which is $2.20 a day, or $3.66 per 500mg of resveratrol.
Who it suits: people who want resveratrol, quercetin and turmeric in one tablet, or whose practitioner already uses Metagenics.
Who it doesn’t suit: buyers who want resveratrol on its own, or a lower daily cost.
#8 Genetic Labs Pure Resveratrol
Genetic Labs Pure Resveratrol is Australian made: 150mg of trans-resveratrol per capsule, in MCT oil, 60 capsules for $77.00. The label serve is one to two capsules a day, which is $1.28 to $2.57 a day for 150mg to 300mg. That makes it $4.28 per 500mg, the highest in this comparison.
Who it suits: buyers who specifically want an Australian-made capsule and a low daily dose.
Who it doesn’t suit: anyone watching cost per milligram. Its label also carries a warfarin warning, which applies to resveratrol in general (see the safety section below).
We have dropped two products that appeared in earlier versions of this guide. AgeMate’s resveratrol page no longer loads, and the old Longevity Plus link pointed to the brand’s home page, so we could not confirm that product or its price.
Trans-resveratrol vs “resveratrol”: why the label wording matters
Resveratrol exists in two shapes, called trans and cis. The absorption studies below measured trans-resveratrol, and it is the form labels name when they give a purity figure. When a label says only “resveratrol”, or “equivalent to resveratrol” from a root extract, you are not told how much of the dose is the trans form.
That is why we show form in the table. Eternal Elixir, For Youth and Genetic Labs name trans-resveratrol. Bulk Nutrients, Naturecan, Herbs of Gold and Metagenics give a resveratrol figure without a trans percentage on the listings we read. Healthy Care gives a resveratrol equivalent from Japanese knotweed extract. None of this proves one product works better than another. It tells you how much you actually know about what is in the capsule.
How to read a resveratrol label before you buy
Five questions sort most of the Australian market in under a minute. Ask them of any bottle, including ours.
- How many milligrams of resveratrol are in one capsule? The products we priced range from 25mg to 600mg. A big number on the front of the pack can refer to the extract weight or the whole serve, so read the ingredient panel.
- Does it say trans-resveratrol? If it does, look for a purity percentage. If it only says “resveratrol” or “equivalent to”, you know less about what you are taking.
- How many capsules make the label serve? Healthy Care’s serve is two to four capsules, ours is two, and most others are one. Multiply the per-capsule amount by the serve to get your daily dose.
- What else is in it? Vitamin C, zinc, quercetin, turmeric, grape seed or rosemary extract can all appear. None of them is a problem in itself, but they change what you are paying for.
- What does 500mg cost? Divide the price by the total resveratrol in the pack and multiply by 500. That single figure lets you compare a 25mg capsule with a 600mg one fairly, and it is the figure in the last column of our table.
Run those five checks and the ranking above mostly explains itself. Products that disclose more and cost less per milligram rise, and products that hide the form or spread a small dose across several capsules fall.
What the research on resveratrol shows, and what it doesn’t
Resveratrol has a long research history and a more modest human record than its reputation suggests. It is worth being exact about what was studied, in whom, at what dose.
Where the interest started
In 2003, a team led by David Sinclair reported in Nature that resveratrol activated the enzyme SIRT1 in a test tube and extended the lifespan of yeast cells by 70% (PMID 12939617). That paper started the modern interest in resveratrol for healthy ageing. It was a laboratory and yeast study, not a human one.
Seven years later, researchers at Pfizer reported that resveratrol only appeared to activate SIRT1 when the test used a peptide tagged with a fluorescent marker, and not with natural substrates (PMID 20061378). That dispute has never been fully settled, and it is the main reason to be cautious about sirtuin claims on labels.
Absorption in people
Walle et al., 2004. Six volunteers took a 25mg oral dose. At least 70% was absorbed, but only trace amounts of unchanged resveratrol could be detected in the blood, because the gut and liver convert it very quickly (PMID 15333514). This is the core problem every resveratrol product faces.
Briskey and Rao, 2020. In a randomised single-dose study in healthy adults, 150mg of resveratrol in a dispersion formula (VeriSperse) gave about twice the absorption and three times the peak level of 150mg of standard Veri-te resveratrol (PMID 33302446). Formulation can matter, although this measured blood levels after one dose, not any health outcome.
Human trials on outcomes
Memory in older adults (Witte et al., 2014). Twenty-three healthy older adults carrying extra weight took 200mg of resveratrol a day for 26 weeks and were compared with 23 matched adults on placebo. The resveratrol group retained more words over 30 minutes (p = 0.038), showed stronger connectivity in the hippocampus on brain scans, and had lower HbA1c (a long-term blood glucose marker) and body fat than placebo (PMID 24899709). It was a small study, and the authors called it initial evidence.
SIRT1 in healthy adults (Gonçalinho et al., 2023). In a 30-day randomised trial, 48 healthy adults aged 55 to 65 took resveratrol or followed an energy-restricted diet. Both groups had higher circulating SIRT1 (p < 0.001) and lower noradrenaline. There was no placebo group, so the trial cannot separate the supplement’s effect from other changes (PMID 37447275).
Diet and long life (Semba et al., 2014). In 783 adults aged 65 and over in Italy’s Chianti region, followed for nine years, the amount of resveratrol people got from their diet (measured in urine) was not linked with lower death rates or with markers of inflammation (PMID 24819981). Diet gives far smaller amounts than supplements, so this does not settle the supplement question, but it is a useful counterweight to the “red wine longevity” story.
What has not been shown
- No trial shows resveratrol extends human lifespan. The yeast result has not been reproduced in people, and the one large dietary study found no link.
- Higher doses have not been shown to work better. The memory trial above used 200mg a day. Nobody has shown that 1,200mg does more than 200mg for the outcomes studied.
- The SIRT1 mechanism is still argued over. A rise in circulating SIRT1 in one small trial is not proof that resveratrol activates the enzyme inside your cells.
For a buyer, the honest reading is this. Resveratrol is poorly absorbed in its standard form, and a small number of human trials show modest changes in memory, blood markers and vessel function over weeks to months. If you want to take it, choose a label that tells you the trans dose, take it as the label directs, and judge it over two to three months. If you have decided it belongs in your routine, $0.56 per 500mg of stated trans-resveratrol is the second-lowest cost per milligram we found and the highest daily dose.
Add Trans-Resveratrol 1200mg to cart · $59.99How much resveratrol to take, and when
Follow the label on the bottle you buy. The products in this guide range from 50mg a day (Healthy Care’s smallest serve) to 1,200mg a day (ours). The memory trial above used 200mg a day, and the absorption studies used single doses of 25mg and 150mg.
Eternal Elixir’s label says two capsules daily, with or without food. For Youth’s own directions suggest a small amount of healthy fat, and Naturecan’s say after a meal. If a single 1,200mg serve feels like more than you want, one capsule with a meal gives 600mg, and the bottle lasts twice as long.
If you search for resveratrol 1000mg in Australia, the practical options are our two-capsule serve (1,200mg) or two Bulk Nutrients capsules (1,000mg). Either way, do not go above your label without talking to your doctor.
Who should check with a doctor first
- If you take warfarin or other blood thinners. Several Australian resveratrol labels, including Genetic Labs’, warn that resveratrol may affect the way some medicines work, including warfarin. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before starting.
- If you take any regular prescription medicine. Ask your pharmacist about interactions before adding a new supplement.
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding. We found no safety data for resveratrol supplements in pregnancy or breastfeeding, so check with your doctor first.
- Before surgery, tell your doctor about any supplements you take, including resveratrol.
What to take alongside resveratrol
NMN. The best-known pairing is resveratrol with NMN, often called the Sinclair protocol. No human trial has tested the two together, and our NMN and resveratrol stack comparison sets out what is and isn’t known. Eternal Elixir NMN 500mg is $59.99 for 90 capsules at one a day. If you want one bottle instead of two, we also stock Vitasolutions NMN & Resveratrol 1100mg. If you are choosing between the two compounds, our NMN vs resveratrol guide helps you decide, and the NMN comparison covers standalone NMN.
Pterostilbene. Pterostilbene is a close chemical relative of resveratrol. Eternal Elixir Trans-Pterostilbene 500mg is $64.99 for 90 capsules at one a day, and our pterostilbene comparison explains how the two differ.
Spermidine and the wider longevity routine. Spermidine 10mg is another compound people add to a healthy-ageing routine, covered in our spermidine comparison. Our Australian longevity stack guide shows how these fit together, and the longevity supplement evidence index ranks each compound by how much human data exists.
Metabolic and liver support. If the metabolic side of the research interests you, our berberine comparison and our guide to liver support supplements in Australia apply the same per-serve pricing to those categories.

Which foods contain resveratrol?
Resveratrol occurs naturally in grapes, red wine, dark chocolate and certain berries and roots, and most supplements extract it from the root of Japanese knotweed. The amounts in food are small. In the Chianti study above, people’s dietary intake was not linked with any measurable benefit, which is why supplements concentrate it into capsules of 150mg to 600mg.

The verdict: which resveratrol supplement to buy
If you want a high daily dose with the trans form and purity on the label: Eternal Elixir Trans-Resveratrol 1200mg, our pick overall, at $1.33 a day for 1,200mg, or $0.56 per 500mg.
If the lowest cost per milligram is all that matters: Bulk Nutrients Resveratrol at $0.37 per 500mg, with no stated trans percentage.

Resveratrol supplements: frequently asked questions
What is the best resveratrol supplement in Australia?
Our pick is Eternal Elixir Trans-Resveratrol 1200mg: 600mg of trans-resveratrol per capsule at a stated 98% purity, 1,200mg per two-capsule serve, for $1.33 a day. It had the highest daily dose and the second-lowest cost per milligram of the eight products we priced. Eternal Elixir makes it, so weigh our view with that in mind. Bulk Nutrients was cheaper per milligram, at $0.37 per 500mg.
Add Trans-Resveratrol 1200mg to cart · $59.99
Is it worth taking a resveratrol supplement?
It depends on what you expect. Human trials show modest changes, such as better word recall in one 26-week study of older adults at 200mg a day, and no trial shows it extends human life. Standard resveratrol is also poorly absorbed. If you try it, choose a label that states the trans dose and judge it over two to three months.
What should you not mix with resveratrol?
Be careful with blood thinners. Several Australian labels warn that resveratrol may affect the way some medicines work, including warfarin, so talk to your doctor or pharmacist before combining them. The same applies to any regular prescription medicine.
Which food is highest in resveratrol?
Grapes, red wine, dark chocolate and some berries and roots contain resveratrol, and supplements usually extract it from Japanese knotweed root. Food amounts are small, and in a nine-year study of older adults dietary resveratrol was not linked with lower death rates or inflammation markers.
How much resveratrol should I take a day?
Follow your label. Australian products range from 50mg to 1,200mg a day. The human memory trial used 200mg a day, and Eternal Elixir’s label serve is 1,200mg. Do not go above your label without speaking to your doctor.
Can I buy resveratrol 1000mg in Australia?
Yes. Eternal Elixir’s two-capsule serve gives 1,200mg of trans-resveratrol, and two Bulk Nutrients capsules give 1,000mg of resveratrol. Most other Australian products give 150mg to 500mg per capsule.
Is trans-resveratrol better than regular resveratrol?
Trans-resveratrol is the form measured in the absorption studies and the one labels name when they give a purity figure. A label that says only “resveratrol” does not tell you how much of the dose is trans. That is a disclosure point, not proof that one product works better.
Should I take resveratrol with NMN?
Many people pair them, but no human trial has tested the combination. If you want to try it, our NMN and resveratrol comparison covers the Australian options and the evidence behind each.
How long does resveratrol take to work?
The human trials we cite ran for 30 days to 26 weeks, and the memory result came after 26 weeks at 200mg a day. Nothing suggests you will notice a change in the first few days. Give any resveratrol product two to three months at the label serve before you decide whether to keep going.
Is it safe to take resveratrol every day?
The labels we read are written for daily use, and the trials above gave resveratrol daily for up to 26 weeks. Long-term safety over many years has not been studied in the same way. If you take warfarin or any regular prescription medicine, speak to your doctor or pharmacist before starting.
Is pterostilbene better than resveratrol?
Pterostilbene is a close chemical relative of resveratrol, and some people choose it instead. The two have not been compared head to head in a large human trial. Our pterostilbene comparison covers the Australian options if you want to weigh them up.
When should I take resveratrol?
Eternal Elixir’s label says two capsules daily, with or without food. Naturecan and For Youth suggest taking theirs with food. Most people take it with breakfast so they remember it each day.
