• Men aged 65 and over: 42 healthy men took 250mg of NMN or placebo daily for up to 12 weeks. Blood NAD+ rose, with small gains in gait speed and grip strength that need confirming (Igarashi et al., npj Aging, 2022).
• Pooled safety data: a July 2026 analysis of 15 randomised trials, at 250mg to 2,000mg a day for up to 24 weeks, found no increase in adverse events or liver enzymes, and no clear effect on weight, fasting glucose or blood fats (Yang et al., Nutrients, 2026).
