Best Energy Supplements in Australia 2026: 8 Products for Fatigue, Brain Fog & Cellular Vitality Compared

Best Energy Supplements in Australia 2026: 8 Products for Fatigue, Brain Fog & Cellular Vitality Compared – Eternal Elixir Korean Panax Ginseng 1600mg bottle

Last updated: September 26, 2026 · Originally published: May 10, 2026 · By Eternal Elixir Editorial

Quick answer: Our pick among energy supplements in Australia is Eternal Elixir Korean Panax Ginseng 1600mg. Panax ginseng has the most direct human research on tiredness of anything we sell: in a 4-week trial of 90 adults with ongoing unexplained tiredness, 2g a day of ginseng extract cut fatigue scores more than placebo. Ours gives 1,600mg of Korean red ginseng extract, standardised to 5% ginsenosides, per two-capsule serve, with 90 capsules for $44.99. That is $1.00 a day, sent from Sydney. The other seven picks below cover CoQ10, men’s energy, training days, NAD+, focus, B vitamins and a no-water tablet.

Eternal Elixir makes five of the eight products on this list, including our top pick, so weigh our view with that in mind. Every competitor price, dose and direction below was read from that product’s own page in September 2026, and every study figure comes from the published paper, listed in the sources. We have not lab-tested any of these products.

One thing before you buy anything. Ongoing tiredness has many causes that no supplement fixes, including poor sleep, low iron, thyroid problems, depression and some medicines. If you’ve felt run down for weeks, see your GP first and get checked.

How we ranked them: first, how directly the human research tested tiredness or energy, and at what dose. Then cost per day, capsules per bottle and what each product suits. Our product is at #1 because it is ours and because ginseng has the most direct fatigue research of anything we sell. None of these products is a stimulant except where we say so, and none of them fixes a medical cause of tiredness.

The 8 best energy supplements in Australia

#1. Eternal Elixir Korean Panax Ginseng 1600mg: best overall for everyday energy

Eternal Elixir Korean Panax Ginseng 1600mg gives 1,600mg of Korean red ginseng extract (Panax ginseng root) per two-capsule serve, standardised to 5% ginsenosides, the active compounds in ginseng. The label says two capsules each morning. A bottle holds 90 capsules, or 45 serves, for $44.99.

The research. In a 4-week trial, 90 adults (21 men and 69 women) with ongoing unexplained tiredness took 1g or 2g a day of a ginseng extract, or a placebo. Both doses improved mental fatigue scores more than placebo, and the 2g dose also cut overall fatigue on a visual scale. Total fatigue scores on the main questionnaire did not differ significantly from placebo (Kim et al., 2013). In a single-dose study, 27 healthy young adults given 200mg of a standardised ginseng extract felt less mental fatigue during a long run of demanding mental tasks (Reay et al., 2006). A 2018 systematic review of 10 studies called ginseng a promising option for fatigue, with modest evidence and a low risk of side effects (Arring et al., 2018).

How our serve compares. By weight, our 1,600mg serve sits between the 1g and 2g doses in the Kim trial, and it is far more than the 200mg single dose in the Reay study. The extracts differ in how they were made, so the milligram figures are a rough guide rather than a match. No trial has tested our exact extract.

Who it suits: adults who want steady daytime energy from a herb with human fatigue trials, at $1.00 a day. Who it doesn’t suit: anyone pregnant or breastfeeding, and anyone on regular prescription medicines without their doctor’s advice, including diabetes medicines, since ginseng lowered blood glucose in the Reay study. Our label says to take it in the morning.

#2. Swisse Ultiboost High Strength Co-Enzyme Q10: best CoQ10

Swisse Ultiboost High Strength Co-Enzyme Q10 gives 300mg of CoQ10 in one soft capsule a day, taken with a meal. It costs $36.99 for 30 capsules or $76.99 for 90, which is $0.86 a day on the larger pack. The label warns against taking it with warfarin without medical advice, and it contains soy, phenylalanine and sulfites.

CoQ10 is part of the chain your mitochondria use to make energy. A 2022 meta-analysis of 13 randomised trials with 1,126 participants found CoQ10 lowered fatigue scores more than placebo, with bigger effects at higher daily doses and over longer periods (Tsai et al., 2022). We don’t sell CoQ10, and this is the best-documented energy ingredient on the list that isn’t ours. Suits: adults who want a single-ingredient CoQ10 at a solid dose. Doesn’t suit: anyone on warfarin without their doctor’s approval, or anyone avoiding soy.

#3. Eternal Elixir Tongkat Ali 200:1 Extract 2000mg: best energy supplement for men

Eternal Elixir Tongkat Ali 200:1 Extract 2000mg gives 2,000mg of a 200:1 Eurycoma longifolia root extract per three-capsule serve, taken on an empty stomach. A bottle holds 90 capsules, or 30 serves, for $39.99, which is $1.33 a day.

The research. In a 12-week trial, 105 men aged 50 to 70 whose testosterone was below 300 ng/dL at the start took 100mg or 200mg a day of a standardised water extract (Physta) or a placebo. Fatigue scores fell in both Tongkat Ali groups, and total testosterone rose more than on placebo. The extract’s maker funded the study (Chinnappan et al., 2021). In a 4-week trial of 63 moderately stressed adults, 200mg a day of the same extract lowered salivary cortisol exposure by 16% and raised testosterone status by 37% (Talbott et al., 2013).

How our serve compares. By weight, our 2,000mg serve is ten times the 200mg Physta dose. The extracts are made differently, and our label gives an extraction ratio rather than a eurycomanone percentage, so the numbers can’t be compared directly. No trial has tested our exact extract. Suits: men over 40 who want to support healthy testosterone and energy together. Doesn’t suit: anyone under 18, anyone pregnant or breastfeeding, and anyone taking propranolol or other prescription medicines without their doctor’s advice, because a Tongkat Ali water extract cut propranolol absorption by 29% in a study of 14 healthy men.

Men who search for Tongkat Ali at Coles or Chemist Warehouse should check the same three things on any label: the extract type, the milligrams per serve and how many serves the bottle holds. Our Tongkat Ali supplements comparison and Tongkat Ali dosage guide cover the options, and our supplements for men over 40 guide puts it in a wider routine.

#4. Eternal Elixir Shilajit 1000mg: best for training days

Eternal Elixir Shilajit 1000mg gives 1,000mg of shilajit extract per two-capsule serve, standardised to 20% fulvic acid. A bottle holds 90 capsules, or 45 serves, for $44.99, which is $1.00 a day. Our product page says it is purified and lab verified for heavy metals and contaminants, which matters with shilajit because raw material can contain impurities.

The research. In an 8-week trial, 63 recreationally active men took 250mg or 500mg a day of a purified shilajit extract (PrimaVie) or a placebo. In the stronger half of the group, the 500mg dose helped them hold on to more of their maximum leg strength after a fatiguing exercise test. The 250mg dose didn’t differ from placebo (Keller et al., 2019). That is a measure of muscle fatigue during exercise, not of everyday tiredness.

How our serve compares. By weight, our 1,000mg serve is double the 500mg dose that worked in that trial. It is a different extract, so that doesn’t mean double the effect. Suits: people who train and want support for strength and stamina. Doesn’t suit: anyone pregnant or breastfeeding, or anyone looking for a quick lift, since the trial ran for 8 weeks. Our shilajit dosage guide and shilajit supplements comparison go further.

#5. Eternal Elixir NMN 500mg: best for NAD+ support

Eternal Elixir NMN 500mg gives 500mg of NMN in one capsule a day. A bottle holds 90 capsules for $59.99, which is $0.67 a day. NMN is a building block your body uses to make NAD+, a coenzyme involved in energy metabolism.

The research. The NMN trials show clearly that it raises blood NAD+. The energy results are smaller. In a 12-week trial of 108 older Japanese adults taking 250mg a day, the group who took it in the afternoon had the largest drop in drowsiness scores (Kim et al., 2022). In a 60-day trial of 80 healthy middle-aged adults given 300mg, 600mg or 900mg a day, blood NAD rose in every NMN group and six-minute walking distance improved more than on placebo, with the best results at 600mg (Yi et al., 2023).

How our serve compares. Our 500mg is double the 250mg in the Japanese trial and below the 600mg that did best in the Yi trial. If you’re weighing a 1000mg NMN serve, note that the Yi trial saw no further gain at 900mg than at 600mg. Suits: adults over 40 building a longer-term routine. Doesn’t suit: anyone who wants to feel a difference within days, or anyone pregnant or breastfeeding. Our NMN supplements comparison and our guide to how long NMN takes to work go further.

#6. Eternal Elixir Methylene Blue Capsules 10mg: best for focus, with strict safety rules

Eternal Elixir Methylene Blue Capsules 10mg give 10mg of USP-grade methylene blue in one capsule a day. A bottle holds 60 capsules for $59.99, which is $1.00 a day.

The research. In a small placebo-controlled brain-imaging study, 26 healthy adults took a single dose of methylene blue that the authors described as low. An hour later, brain activity during attention and short-term memory tasks was higher, and correct answers in a memory test rose by 7% (Rodriguez et al., 2016). We couldn’t confirm the exact dose from the published abstract, so we can’t tell you how it compares with a 10mg capsule. No trial we found has tested 10mg a day of methylene blue for energy or focus. Much of the interest in methylene blue comes from cell studies, and those results don’t carry over to people automatically.

Safety comes first with this one. Methylene blue strongly blocks the enzyme MAO-A, and it has been linked to serotonin toxicity in people taking SSRI antidepressants (Ramsay et al., 2007). Do not take it with SSRIs, SNRIs, MAOIs or any other serotonergic medicine. Don’t take it if you have G6PD deficiency, if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you are under 18. It can turn urine blue or green. Talk to your doctor before starting it if you take any prescription medicine. Our guide to methylene blue and medicine interactions explains the risk.

If you searched for methylene blue at Chemist Warehouse or another pharmacy, check that any product states USP grade and the milligrams per capsule. Our methylene blue supplements comparison sets out what to look for. Suits: healthy adults on no interacting medicines who want to try it for focus. Doesn’t suit: anyone in the groups above, or anyone who wants a supplement with trial evidence at its label dose.

#7. Swisse Ultiboost Mega B+: best if your diet is low in B vitamins

Swisse Ultiboost Mega B+ is one tablet a day with a meal. Each tablet gives B vitamins, including 121.6mg of vitamin B1, 41.1mg of B6 and 60mcg of B12, plus 119.8mg of vitamin C, small amounts of minerals and 62.5mg of lemon balm extract. It costs $42.99 for 60 tablets or $66.99 for 120. The label says to stop taking it and see your doctor if you feel tingling, burning or numbness, the standard warning on supplements that contain vitamin B6.

B vitamins are needed for the body’s energy-producing reactions, and a 2020 review linked low intakes to tiredness (Tardy et al., 2020). That is the catch: a B complex mostly helps when your intake or levels are low. Suits: people who eat little meat, dairy or wholegrains, or whose GP has found low B vitamin levels. Doesn’t suit: people already eating well, or anyone taking another supplement that contains B6.

#8. Swisse Ultiboost Energy Boost Smart Melt: best when you don’t want to swallow a tablet

Swisse Ultiboost Energy Boost Smart Melt is a tablet you let dissolve on your tongue, one a day with or after a meal, no water needed. Each tablet has 100mg of Korean ginseng extract (from 500mg of dry root) and 1mg of vitamin B12. A pack of 30 costs $29.50, or $0.98 a day. It contains galactose and sulfites.

It contains no caffeine and is easy to take. The ginseng amount is small: 100mg of extract is half the 200mg single dose in the Reay study and a fraction of the 1g to 2g a day in the Kim trial. Suits: people who struggle with capsules and want a small daily B12 top-up. Doesn’t suit: anyone who wants a ginseng dose close to the trials. For that, our #1 gives 1,600mg of extract a serve.

Our energy stack: the Daily Energy & Vitality Stack

If you’d like to try Tongkat Ali, shilajit and ginseng together, our Daily Energy & Vitality Stack bundles Tongkat Ali 200:1 Extract 2000mg, Shilajit 1000mg and Korean Panax Ginseng 1600mg for $109.99, which saves $19.98 against buying the three separately. All three are taken in the morning, and none contains caffeine. For a broader plan, our longevity supplement stack guide and mitochondrial support supplements comparison go further.

How to choose an energy supplement

  • Rule out the basics first. Sleep, iron, thyroid function, mood and medicines explain a lot of ongoing tiredness. A GP visit and a blood test come before any supplement.
  • Match the product to the reason. For general daytime tiredness, ginseng has the most direct trials on our list. For training, shilajit. For men over 40, Tongkat Ali. For a diet low in B vitamins, a B complex.
  • Check the dose against the research. A high strength label means little unless the milligrams per serve are close to what was tested. We say where ours sit above or below the trial doses.
  • Know what’s a stimulant. Strong over-the-counter energy pills and tablets often rely on caffeine or guarana. None of the eight products here lists caffeine.
  • Give it time. The fatigue trials above ran for 4 to 12 weeks. Judge a supplement over at least a month, not a morning.

Energy supplements: frequently asked questions

What is the best energy supplement in Australia?

Our pick is Eternal Elixir Korean Panax Ginseng 1600mg: 1,600mg of Korean red ginseng extract per serve, 90 capsules for $44.99, or $1.00 a day, sent from Sydney. Ginseng has the most direct human research on tiredness of anything we sell. If you want CoQ10, which we don’t stock, Swisse Ultiboost High Strength Co-Enzyme Q10 is a solid single-ingredient option.

Add Korean Panax Ginseng to cart · $44.99

What is the best energy supplement that actually works?

The ones with the most human trials on tiredness are Panax ginseng and CoQ10. Ginseng lowered fatigue scores in a 4-week trial at 1g to 2g a day, and a meta-analysis of 13 trials found CoQ10 lowered fatigue scores more than placebo. B vitamins help mainly when your intake is low. None of them works like caffeine, so expect a gradual change over weeks.

What is the best energy supplement for people with chronic fatigue?

Long-lasting fatigue needs a doctor before a supplement. It can come from conditions such as anaemia, thyroid disease, sleep apnoea or depression, which need proper diagnosis. Once your GP has ruled those out, ginseng and CoQ10 are the options with the most research on tiredness, and your doctor can tell you whether either suits you.

Which pills boost energy?

Caffeine and guarana tablets give the fastest lift, followed by a drop as they wear off. Non-stimulant options such as ginseng, CoQ10 and B vitamins work more slowly, and the trials measured changes over 4 to 12 weeks. For men, Tongkat Ali lowered fatigue scores in a 12-week trial of men aged 50 to 70.

What vitamins should I take if I’m constantly tired?

First ask your GP to check iron, vitamin B12, vitamin D and thyroid function, because a shortfall there is a common, fixable cause. B vitamins, vitamin C, iron and magnesium all play a part in energy metabolism, but taking extra mostly helps when your levels are low.

Are energy supplements for men different?

Most energy ingredients work the same for men and women. Tongkat Ali is the exception on this list: its trials measured testosterone and fatigue in men, so it is our pick for men over 40.

Add Tongkat Ali 200:1 to cart · $39.99

Can I take ginseng, NMN and methylene blue together?

There is no trial of that combination, and we found no study of ginseng and NMN taken together. Methylene blue must not be taken with serotonergic medicines, so check every medicine you take with your doctor before adding it.

The verdict

Our pick: Eternal Elixir Korean Panax Ginseng 1600mg, for everyday energy. It gives 1,600mg of extract per serve, close to the doses that lowered fatigue scores in human trials, for $1.00 a day.

For men over 40: Eternal Elixir Tongkat Ali 200:1, at $1.33 a day. For training days: Eternal Elixir Shilajit 1000mg, at $1.00 a day. For CoQ10: Swisse Ultiboost High Strength Co-Enzyme Q10. For a low-B diet: Swisse Ultiboost Mega B+.

Whichever you choose, see your GP first if tiredness has lasted weeks, follow the label, and judge the result after a month or more.
