Three things stand out once the numbers sit side by side.
- Only one product states its fulvic acid content. Ours is standardised to 20%. The Wanderlust listings say the extract contains “naturally occurring” fulvic acid without a figure, and the Lifecykel and Mister Jones listings give none.
- The cheapest serve is not the cheapest shilajit. Wanderlust tablets cost $0.32 a serve, but the listing doesn’t say how much of each 1g serve is shilajit and how much is inulin and binder. You can’t compare that price with anything else fairly.
- The 100g Wanderlust powder is the cheapest shilajit per gram here while it is on sale. At $37.99 it works out at about $0.38 a gram, against $1.00 a gram for ours and $6.13 a gram for Lifecykel resin. At its $75.99 RRP it is about $0.76 a gram.

#2 Lifecykel Shilajit Pure Resin 15g: tested resin, high price per gram
Lifecykel’s resin is $92.00 for a 15g jar on the Chemist Warehouse site, where it is an online-only item with free shipping. The serve is 0.25g, measured with the spoon supplied, which gives about 60 serves, so $1.53 a serve. The listing suggests dissolving it in warm water, coffee or tea in the morning, five days on and two days off.
It is the only Chemist Warehouse listing we found that states testing: third-party tested for heavy metals, microbial contaminants and pesticides. The listing describes the resin as wild-harvested from mountain ranges and purified in US facilities. It does not give a fulvic acid content.
Who it suits: people who want traditional resin and value a stated testing claim.
Who it doesn’t suit: anyone watching cost. At $6.13 a gram it is the most expensive shilajit here by a wide margin, and a 0.25g serve is the smallest amount on this page.

#3 Wanderlust Shilajit Powder: lowest price per gram on sale
Wanderlust Shilajit Powder is Himalayan shilajit extract on its own, with a serve of 1.24g (about a quarter of a teaspoon) stirred into 30ml of water. The 50g tub was $42.99 (RRP $50.99) for 40 serves, which is $1.07 a serve. The 100g tub was $37.99 (RRP $75.99), cheaper than the 50g on the day we checked. Its listing also says 40 servings, but 100g at 1.24g a serve is about 80 serves, or $0.47 each.
The listing says the extract contains naturally occurring fulvic acid but gives no percentage, and it makes no testing statement. Both tubs show no customer reviews on the Chemist Warehouse site. Wanderlust sells the same powder on its own website.
Who it suits: buyers who want the most shilajit for the money and don’t mind measuring powder each day.
Who it doesn’t suit: anyone who wants a stated fulvic acid content or heavy-metal testing before they buy, or who wants to avoid the taste of dissolved shilajit.

The ingredients list inulin first, then Himalayan shilajit extract, magnesium stearate and hypromellose, and the listing doesn’t say how much of the 1g is shilajit.
That makes the low price hard to judge, because you can’t tell how much shilajit you are paying for. The Chemist Warehouse page shows 4.7 stars from 6 reviews.
Who it suits: people who want a low-cost shilajit tablet they can add to a pharmacy order.
Who it doesn’t suit: anyone who wants to know their shilajit dose, or who wants to compare it with a trial amount.
#5 Mister Jones Organic Shilajit 60 Capsules: sold through the marketplace
This is an online-only item on the Chemist Warehouse site, sold and delivered by Mister Jones Health rather than Chemist Warehouse itself. It was $42.99 (RRP $44.99) for 60 capsules of organic Himalayan shilajit in vegetable cellulose capsules. The directions are one to two capsules a day with milk or lukewarm water after a meal, which is $0.72 to $1.43 a day.
The listing does not state how many milligrams of shilajit each capsule holds, gives no fulvic acid content and makes no testing statement. It showed no reviews when we checked.
Who it suits: buyers who want an organic-labelled capsule and are happy to order through the Chemist Warehouse marketplace.

What to check before you buy shilajit anywhere
The same four checks apply whether you buy at a chemist, from a marketplace or from a brand’s own site.
- Heavy-metal testing. Shilajit forms in rock, and the risk with a poor product is contamination rather than a weak effect. A 2008 study in JAMA analysed 193 Ayurvedic products bought online and found 20.7% contained detectable lead, mercury or arsenic (Saper et al., 2008). That study covered Ayurvedic products generally, not shilajit in particular, but it is why a stated testing claim matters.
- Dose per serve. A listing should say how many milligrams of shilajit extract you get, not just the weight of a tablet that also contains fillers.
- Fulvic acid content. Fulvic acid is one of the main compounds in shilajit. A stated percentage gives you something concrete to compare.
- A form you will take every day. Capsules give a fixed dose. Resin and powder need measuring and taste strongly.

What the human research on shilajit shows
Shilajit has a small number of human trials, and most used one branded material, PrimaVie, a purified extract standardised to at least 50% fulvic acids. That is a different material from ours (20% fulvic acid) and from the products at Chemist Warehouse, so the results don’t transfer automatically to any product on this page.
Testosterone in healthy men
In a randomised, double-blind trial in India, 96 healthy men aged 45 to 55 took 250mg of purified shilajit twice a day or a placebo for 90 days, and 75 completed the study. Total testosterone, free testosterone and DHEAS rose significantly compared with placebo (p < 0.05), while LH and FSH stayed steady (Pandit et al., Andrologia, 2016). Muscle strength after exercise
In the United States, 63 recreationally active men took 250mg or 500mg of PrimaVie a day, or a placebo, for 8 weeks, 21 men to a group (Keller et al., Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition, 2019). Among the men with the higher starting strength, the 500mg group lost less strength after a fatiguing leg exercise than the placebo group, and the 250mg group did not differ from placebo. Among the men with higher starting levels of hydroxyproline, a marker of collagen breakdown, the 500mg group finished with lower levels. Both were subgroup findings, so treat them as leads rather than settled results.
What has not been shown
- No trial has tested any product sold at Chemist Warehouse, or our own capsules.
- The trials are small, ran for 8 to 13 weeks, and the testosterone trial was funded by the extract’s maker.
- Claims you may see about brain health or long-term ageing come mostly from laboratory and animal work, not from human trials.
So the fair summary is that purified shilajit has produced some hormone and muscle changes in small groups of men over two to three months. It is not a treatment for anything. If you take prescription medicines or manage a health condition, speak with your GP or pharmacist before you start.
