Randomised, placebo-controlled trial · 2016 · 26 adults

One dose. 7% more right answers, an hour later.

Researchers at the University of Texas gave healthy adults one dose of USP-grade methylene blue (280mg, about 4mg/kg) or a placebo, then scanned their brains during memory and attention tests. The methylene blue group got about 7% more memory answers right, while the placebo group didn't improve.
