What is affron®?

affron® is a standardised extract of saffron stigma with a guaranteed 3.5% Lepticrosalides®, the crocins, safranal and related compounds that give saffron its effects. Culinary saffron varies enormously in potency, and many generic capsules list a powder weight with no standardisation. A standardised extract gives you a consistent, measured dose, which is what the trials tested.

How much should I take?

One capsule a day, with a meal, at the same time each day. Each capsule has 30 mg of affron®, matching the 28–30 mg daily range used in the published trials.

When will I notice results?

The trials measured a drop in negative mood and stress-related symptoms after four weeks, better sleep quality over 28 days, and gains in emotional well-being at eight weeks. Some people notice a lift sooner. Give it four weeks of consistent daily use, and ideally a whole bottle.

How long does a bottle last?

Will it make me drowsy or flat?
